The reason I dislike Colorado

Don't get me wrong, Colorado can be a beautiful place to live! They have mountains and plains and all four seasons... very rarely do they get a bad storm, and there is no humidity. Most people move to Colorado and love it. I, don't. I live at the base of The Rocky Mountains... where there really aren't many mature trees, during the summer its dry and the grass is brown (and if you want green grass you have to water 2X a day) and where there is no water! We are hundreds if not thousands of miles away from the nearest coast, and the only water here are man-made lakes or reservoirs which to even play in, you need to pay some sort of money to the city. I grew up always belonging to a pool or having a pool at my house. And then when I moved AWAY from home, I moved to a city where there was a beach! So, im sure you can imagine why I am having the Colorado blues right now. I have ALWAYS been around water... im a water baby! All I want is to enjoy a nice long swim in the ocean, pool, or hell, even a lake. I want to go tubing, I want to sit on a flotation device and soak up the sun, I want my children to splash around in the water and learn to love it as much as I do! I hate sitting inside from the hours or 12pm-5pm because its So hot and dry out that you can't go outside. We are so much closer to the sun that you get burnt easier too. I guess Im also bummed because there is no beach vacation for me this year... and since I don't live near the beach anymore, I look forward to that vacation every year!

Anyway, here is a picture of the "Horsetooth Reservior".. the only place in Ft Collins that you can really go swimming. Looks appealing, doesn't it? (Note the sarcasm).
